Peter Easley is a fictional character in Confirmation, the third and final chapter in The Mike Adams Series. Senator Easley, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is nominated by the President to fill the vacant seat on the Supreme Court - a vacancy that could determine the outcome of a large number of court cases otherwise tied up in 4-4 splits. His nomination is seen as a slam dunk - as Senators rarely object to each other's nominations, despite the scandals in his past and his present affiliations that could derail his confirmation.

Note: The book's title is a partial reference to Easley's nomination battle.
